EERI report about societal aspects of the tsunami

EERI has released an excellent report that deals with the societal aspects of the tsunami.  It gives a great overview of different aspects of the disaster, in the early phase and also the impact on future recovery.  It also clearly explains issues related to government, livelihood, shelter, debris, etc.

The explanation of the Reconstruction Council Plan is especially valuable as is the comparison of the current status (as of June 2011) of recovery in different municipalities, based on the research team’s interviews with local officials.
